Tryout Info

Tryouts for our inaugural 2026-2027 Team Onyx teams will be held the weekend of July 24-26, 2026 with evaluation opportunities available in two locations:

Shakopee, Minnesota and St. Louis, Missouri

Players are only required to attend one of the two evaluation locations and should register for the site that is most convenient for their family. Attendance at one of these tryouts is required for consideration and selection to a Team Onyx roster.

*All players will receive a tryout reversible pinnie at check-in. Players will wear this pinnie during the evaluation.

2026-2027 Player Team Fees

Once team placements are finalized, the total cost for the 2026-2027 season is $2,650.00. Everything is wrapped into one clear price that covers all team and tournament fees plus a player uniform package including a game uniform, shooter shirt, and sweatshirt.

Tournaments

Teams 2028-2031 will compete in three tournaments annually: one Fall, one Winter, and one Summer event. The 2027 team will compete in two Fall tournaments and one Winter tournament.

Adrenaline Gold Cup, November 7-8, 2026 (Frederica, DE)
PLC Fall Championships, November 21-22, 2026 (Naples, FL)
Sand Storm Lacrosse Festival, January 16-17, 2027 (Indio, CA)
Naptown National Challenge, Late June 2027 (Annapolis, MD)

Travel

Players and families will be responsible for their own travel accommodations.

Player Uniforms

Player uniform packs are included in player team fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child need to be a member of one of the six clubs to participate?

Yes, however, we will keep a list of interested players that could join the team if we do not meet the roster minimum.

Will Team Onyx tournaments conflict with local clubs tournaments?

No. If you are a player for one of the 6 founding clubs there will be no conflicts with your clubs tournament schedule.

What tournaments will Team Onyx participate in during the Fall 2026 - Summer 2027 season?

We are working hard to finalize the tournament schedule and it will be finalized prior to player offers being sent in late July after tryouts.

Player Cost

• Eval Fee: $75 (Includes Team Onyx reversible pinnie)

Roster

A total of five teams will be fielded, representing the 2027, 2028, 2029, 2030 and 2031 age groups. Each team will carry a roster of approximately 18–24 players.
